    Introduction:
The Uttabati Singing Bowl, a traditional healing instrument originating from the Himalayan region.Characterized by its unique structure, it features thin walls, a short flat base, and an inward-curving rim—with some larger models resembling a "cauldron". The exterior typically has a dark or jet-black finish, while the inner wall is bright and bears distinct marks of hand-hammering; over time, oxidation lends it a gentle, lustrous patina. As one of the most vibratory types of antique singing bowls, it produces remarkable amplitude when struck or rubbed, causing visible splashes if filled with water and quickly resonating in harmony with the human body. In terms of tone, it emits deep, lingering fundamental notes paired with harmonious overtones—some century-old bowls can reach as low as the C2 bass range, covering delta and theta brainwave frequencies to soothe the mind and enhance focus simultaneously. some date back to the 19th century, making them rare and one-of-a-kind pieces with unique appearances.
Historically used as a vessel for storing wine, water, and grains, the Uttabati Singing Bowl now serves as a core instrument in sound healing. It is ideal for meditation, mental relaxation, vibrational massage, and as an accompaniment to yoga sessions, helping to relieve stress and improve sleep quality. Its distinctive "Om" resonance also holds deep spiritual significance in Buddhist practices.
